As some of you may remember (surely, at least a few of you?), we started a Dead on Halloween contest a few months back, but since none of us had the time or determination to carry it through (get it advertised, or even remind you guys ) it kinda dwindled away. Now, since we had two entries to the stock use category, it would be unfair to them to cancel the contest altogether, but we can't end the contest with only two entries. Additionally, it would be rather silly to do a Halloween contest in February
So we've decided to change the contest in a way that will still include the existing entries *and* open for new ones. The new contest is Dead on a holiday. Now, we don't mean holiday as in when you have time off from school or work and maybe go on a vacation, but those special days that need to be celebrated, in one way or another. Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, Easter, anything you like Heck, the Chinese new year, if that's what floats your boat. Now, we would prefer if you didn't pick a super-obscure holiday that nobody has ever heard of before, but it is technically legal, so long as it's a holiday to other people as well, not just one you made up for the occasion The only criteria is that it should be possible to Google the holiday you've chosen and actually get more than a few random hits to completely unrelated sites You also need to make it clear *which* holiday you've used. And of course, like in the last contest, it needs to contain an element of death. It can be dead dead, dying or undead, or any other states of dead you can think of We prefer that there is at least one model in the picture (for both categories) but BG stocks are okay, as long as it looks like a place where death would take place So, to summarize, it must be something related to some special holiday that *also* has an element of dead in it
For the stock users (drawings, manips or written works) at least one picture from the group has to play a relevant part in the artwork.
All participants must be members of the group, but it's not like it's very hard to become one
And all submissions must follow the groups rules. As we've said before, gore is fine, but not required
